Publish it once. We take it everywhere we reach.
Most African publishers have the rights, the files and the readers — and no practical way to get a digital edition in front of anyone. Building an app is a year you do not have. Selling a PDF is giving the book away.
So hand us the files instead. You upload a title once, set what it costs, and it appears everywhere we sell — encrypted, priced by you, and reported back to you in one place.
Get your catalogue on
Tell us who you are and roughly how many titles you hold. We'll come back with what it costs and what we need from you — usually a PDF and a cover per book.
Where your books end up
Distribution only means something if the channels are real. These are the ones we run today, and the one we build with you.
The MyBookPal app
Android and the web. Students find your titles by subject and level, buy or rent them, and read them alongside an AI tutor that answers questions from the page in front of them.
Your own branded app
The same engine under your name, colours and Play Store listing, if you would rather your readers saw your imprint than ours. Your catalogue is already in it.
Schools and sponsors
Schools buy seats for a class; companies and NGOs fund pupils in bulk. Both draw on the same catalogue, so a sponsored child reads your books without you invoicing anybody.
Your printed books
A code inside the cover unlocks the digital edition free. The paper copy stops competing with the file and starts selling it — and you find out who is actually reading.
Audiobooks
Upload narration chapter by chapter against a title you already have. Anyone who owns the book can listen, and a chapter can be given away as a sample.
Partner apps
Telcos, learning platforms and retailers who want your catalogue inside their own product. We build the connection with them directly — talk to us about who you want to reach.
How a title gets out
Five steps, none of which need a developer. A publisher who can use a web form can run their whole catalogue.
- Create the title Title, author, ISBN, subject and level. Start before the files are final — nothing is served until you say so.
- Upload the files The PDF and the cover. Both are encrypted on arrival; the cover is the one thing readers see before they pay.
- Set your prices One price to buy. Add rental lengths at whatever they are worth, and bundle titles that belong together.
- Choose the channels Everywhere by default. Switch a channel — or your whole catalogue — off at any time without deleting anything.
- Watch what sells Revenue by day, month and year, per title, with how many readers opened it and how many of those bought.
What stays yours
A distributor should be a route to market, not a landlord. Nothing here takes your rights, your pricing or your readers away from you.
Questions publishers ask first
What does it cost?
There is no fee to list. We take a share of what your books actually earn, agreed before anything goes live and set against how many titles you bring and which channels you want. If a book sells nothing, it costs you nothing.
What files do you need?
A PDF of the book and an image of the cover is enough to start — that is what most publishers already have. Text-based PDFs work best, because the AI tutor and read-aloud both need real text on the page; a scanned book still sells and still reads, but those features are weaker on it. For audiobooks we take MP3 or M4A, one file per chapter.
Is my book safe once I upload it?
Every book is encrypted at rest under a key of its own, and unlocked only for a reader who has bought, rented or redeemed a code for it. Pages are served as images to the app rather than as a downloadable file, and screenshots are blocked inside the reader. No reader ever receives your PDF.
Do I have to sell exclusively through you?
No. The arrangement is non-exclusive and always has been. Keep selling the printed edition however you sell it now, and list the digital one anywhere else you can reach.
Where do you reach?
Ghana today, in cedis, over mobile money. The app is built for African connections and African prices — that is the market we know and the one we are expanding across. Tell us where your readers are and we will be straight with you about whether we are there yet.
How long does it take?
A first title can be live the same day you send the files. A full catalogue depends mostly on how tidy your files are — we do the uploading for you on the first batch, so you can see it working before committing anyone's time to it.
